Shanice

I recently graduated from my degree in psychology. My degree helped me further explore my interests in understanding people’s behaviours and working with people. After university, I’ve spent time working with children within primary which gave me the opportunity to see how important it is for young people to feel supported, encouraged and exposed to opportunities beyond the classroom. This has naturally led me into my current role through STEP as schools engagement assistant at UCL. I’m excited to continue working with young people and exploring ways I can make a positive impact.

I’ve always been someone with lots of different interests particularly in mental health, books, film, music and theatre. I also really enjoy writing and storytelling. Alongside my work, I’m currently producing my own podcast that’s centred around wellbeing and creating conversations around navigating life and everything that comes with it. I’m really looking forward to this new chapter with STEP, from taking part in different workshops, networking and developing new skills to help me along the way.
