I am a writer/director/actor from Walthamstow with a background in theatre, beginning with my time as a member of the Almeida Theatre's young company. I have since had my work staged in Manchester and at the Lyric theatre in Hammersmith. I love working with and across difference, as I think this is where the most satisfying work happens. Having spent over a year now working as a communications assistant for an educational charity, and am looking forward to using these skills to support the educational programmes Sadler's Wells have on offer to young people across the country. Opportunities like this are precisely how we get better representation of people in the arts—it's exactly what got me into the arts!
Working in learning and community engagement allows will allow me to facilitate further involvement and accessibility to the arts. This is something I feel strongly about. Not only does it strengthen the infrastructure of the country's arts and talent pipeline, but access to the arts gives people the opportunity to develop creatively, in communication with one another.
